"Conventional Air Spray- Thin up to 25% with Hammerite Brush Cleaner and Thinner. Pot Pressure: 15-20 p.s.i. Atomizing pressure: 25-35 p.s.i. Nozzle size: 70-80 thousandths Apply 3-4 coats allowing each coat to set for 30-45 minutes at 60F before application of the next coat to prevent sags. Final coat must be wet enough to flow to a uniform glossy finish. Rust protection requires dry film thickness of 4 mils.Airless Spray - Thinning should not be necessary. If required, thin up to 10% with Hammerite Brush Cleaner and Thinner to optimize flow and atomization. Atomizing pressure: 1000-1200 p.s.i. Tip Size: 0.017"-0.021" Apply 3-4 coats to a minimum dry film thickness of 4 mils for rust protection. Allow each coat to set 30-45 minutes at 60F before application of the next coat to avoid sagging. Final coat must be wet enough to provide a unifrom glossy finish.
HVLP Spray- Thin up to 15% with Hammerite Thinner Pressure: 6-10 p.s.i. Nozzle size: 40-50 thousandths Apply 3-4 coats as in (Airless Spray)
Electrostatic Spray - Thin up to 30% with Hammerite Thinner. Tested with DeVilibis EFX equipment. Round nozzel with 80kv with high micro-amp charge. Product has excellent wrap around properties. Minor adjustments may be required to give optimun atomization.
All coatings can be applied as soon as the previous coating is dry to the touch, about 15 minutes. All coatings must be applied within one hour or after six weeks cure time."
