Hello All!
Thanks for visiting the TR6 Web. This column is here
because I'm at heart an extroverted nerd, and I figured that
offering a few of my words up for pondering, ranting,
ignoring, what-have-you was a small price for what (I hope)
the TR6 Web offers. If you haven't checked out the rest
of the site, by all means go do so now before reading
this drivel. This page is going to be where I post any
extended rants, rambles, thoughts or other whimsy that
pertains to our world of LBCs. Yep; the content here is
indeed going to be (verrrrrry loosely) affiliated with the
cars that we know and love. Beware; some columns may take
delight in spending the entire text simply drawing obfuscated
connections betwixt themselves and the LBC passion.
They'll follow no set schedule.

RoadTRip II: The Next ITRation!
8/25/98
So. I
made it to California despite the gloomy prognostication
of some of my friends who shall remain unnamed but know
who
they are. Now comes the next leg- making it home! Once
again, for the entertainment of all those of you who may
stop by this site when you're supposed to be workin', I plan
on providing updates from the road on the way back home,
thanks to my trusty Newton
2100. (Note to Apple:
The iMac
may be cool, but you could've owned the world with
the Newton if
you'd only had the
nads to market it correctly and support its growth. Yet
another pricesless opportunity lost.)
I plan on departing Santa
Monica early in the morning on Monday, August 31st. If
you want proof, I will be visible on the Santa
Monica PierCam between 5:00 and 5:10 am PDT on August
31st. I will post the first update the night before leaving,
to confirm departure...the next one will be from the road!
Oh yes, if you followed my original RoadTRip log, you'll
notice a neat new feature...which I hope works right.
Updates will (hopefully) post automagically to the
following page:
...that is, if I got all my perl
right.
The Infamous '98 RoadTRips!
Inventory of the Car's
Contents
The editor
of the TR6 Web is a graduate student currently
studying the impact of early morning departures on average
daily IQ. He lives in perpetual longing for the several
hours of additional sleep he didn't get last night. At
times, he has been known to doze off whilst washing his car,
resulting in a nasty case of raisinhead; however, the person
that informed him of this the morning after may have been
lying.
If you're interested in more of his writing
(fictional, in this case) it can be found here.
