Ken, if you can get to a new car dealer (Ford-Chrysler) they have a clear product that will go over your paint job and not show. They charge a arm & leg through the sales dept. but if you go in the back and talk to guy thats doing it he will help you out, trust me I know, 17 years at new car dealerships.

Even better than body schutz is 'Rocker Shutz'. It goes on tan and it made to be paintable. It sprays from the same type of gun and everything. I think you can get the guns easily from Harbor Freight and no a regular spray gun will not do it. It is way too thick. I have had no problem with it in cold climate. DougB.
